Briardale House is one of Alburys finest homes. Located in a quiet northern area of Albury, NSW, Australia, Briardale is the ideal hub for exploring our historic city and surrounds. Our home is situated on the original grounds of Briardale Orchard, established in 1919 by the Heathwood family - the cleared orchard area is now known as Heathwood Park, with mass replanting of many varieties of Eucalypt and Acacias, which has re-introduced the local birdlife to the area. This is such a lovely place to wander, especially along the untouched Bungambrawatha Creek which winds its way through the park. This quiet and delightful area is a must for the photographer and the happy wanderer, relax, take time & unwind.

Albury, situated on the New South Wales side of the Murray River which is the border of Victoria and New South Wales, is blessed with such a unique climate - we have four very distinct seasons, with Summer being dry and hot, whilst being close to some of the best snow resorts in Australia, winter can be very chilly, with temperatures being below freezing for some of the day with heavy frosts - a fine reason for staying indoors by the fire with a favourite tipple and book, or taking that brisk walk along the bicycle/walking track by the creek. Autumn is our favourite season, with cooler days & nights, adding delightful colour changes to our trees and shrubs, many of which were established in 1948 by Ned & Mabel Griffiths, the 2nd owners of Briardale. On the arrival of Spring, our tranquil and secluded garden unfolds to such an array of colour and fragrances, one just has to sit and contemplate.

Breakfast and Dinner are served in the Dining Room, where tea, coffee & snacks are available throughout the day.

Briardale is ideally situated, being a short walk to major shopping centres, numerous cafes and restuarants, North Albury Sports Club, Lavington Panthers Club and Albury Commercial Golf Club. The centre of Albury is but a five minute drive.

We do regret to advise, that due to Health Regulations, Briardale cannot accept pets, assistance dogs excepted.

Briardale Bed & Breakfast is ideally situated for the International Traveller, we are a 3 hour drive north of Melbourne or a 5 hour drive south of Sydney on the A31 - why not break your journey and visit a wonderful and beautiful part of Australia.
